Good blood pressure control is important in preventing many conditions, including heart disease, stroke and kidney failure. To promote regular monitoring and good blood pressure control, the practice is asking patients to consider obtaining their own automatic blood pressure device where possible, for use at home.
Home blood pressure monitoring is supported by robust clinical evidence, senior hypertension consultants and specialists, and also now by NHS England with its BP@home national programme. This programme is helping to promote health monitoring at home and enable patients to be remotely monitored by their GP’s and healthcare professionals.
